I'm an obsessive researcher. Before I make purchases I obsess about getting the highest quality and the lowest price. I spend hours poring over reviews and assess every aspect of the desired item before making a decision. Here is some of the travel gear I've chosen, and why.

Finally, now that so many airlines charge you to check luggage, I broke down and got an international carry-on size piece.  As usual, I did a ton of research and narrowed it down to this and another considerably more expensive from Eagle Creek, who made my check-through which I love. This Travelpro Maxlite 4 ain’t sexy but it’s sturdy yet light, and easy to move around thanks to its efficient spinners.

My Travelon messenger bag isn’t super roomy but great for going out to dinner on the road or a short jaunt when you don’t want to lug along the daypack. It’s super secure, too, with slashproof straps and body and RFID shields.
It was time to replace my inflatable travel pillow with something quicker and easier to inflate and that wouldn’t require as much huffing and puffing. This baby soft model helps lull me to dreamland.
